It has been an interesting summer with Muffin ink doing the round at Festivals and fayres.
At the first Furzedown Festival event, we found ourselves at St Paul’s SW17 about to celebrate their 90th anniversary. Artisans and the like came to show their wares. This was also the launch of the new Furzedown badge in red and blue, not for any political significance even with an important by election fast approaching.
Although England vs Russia was the main item on the agenda still folks came and indulged in tea and scones and mouth watering Victoria sponges.
Furzedown’s Big Day Out saw the usual throng to the Green. The real cornucopia of handcrafted items and activities. Exciting handmade vintage style cards were out in force on our stall with something to suit every palette. Also, we had a great selection of Father’s Day cards for the special person which were ably complimented by some hip badges: cool Dad, Best Dad etc. There was much more on offer, Muffin ink soft leather purses in red and blue which could easily be popped in Muffin ink tote bags, simply irresistible.
9 July Streatham Festival
The festival fun day found Muffin ink among a variety of equally charming items mainly of the twinkling variety.
Festooned with ‘Lovin Streatham’ badges we set up home for the day, as the melange of tasty food came to life.
Soft leather purses seemed to be the order of the day, each one handmade and topped off with a cute button they make for a delightful gift or a personal treat, avoiding the endless hike around the handbag. They came and lapped up the candy badges with matching cards and the retro “i am 1” badges and matching card. The icing on the cake had to be Chuka Umunna MP proudly wearing his Lovin’ Streatham badge looking every inch the cool model.
